Use the Right Size Boxes – Smaller boxes are better for heavier items, while larger boxes are better for lighter items. Fragile and glass or ceramic items should obviously not go in boxes where they may rattle around and break.

Label Boxes Clearly and write the contents of each box and the room it belongs in – see our advice on color-coding boxes above too!

Pack an “Essentials” Box with the items you’ll need immediately upon arrival, such as toiletries, medications, and a change of clothes.
